A moment in the life of a child's bedtime prayer...
Me: Dear God, help us to remember that's it's naughty to spit out our food and throw things when we get upset. That makes Jesus, mommy, and daddy sad.
Brynn (very matter-of-factly): Jesus spits all day long.

....and the dresser won. Poor thing knocked herself silly before bedtime on the corner of our dresser. The pictures don't even begin to show what it looked like before we had iced it for a bit. Scared the heebie jeebies out of me! She seems to be doing fine, just going to have a swollen noggin for a bit and then a nice bruise. She was a trooper and let us ice it for a while and then kept looking at it in the mirror and laughing at herself.
We are a little overdue for a post. I have just been so exhausted all of the time. I have hardly any energy and most days feel like a walking zombie. I can't wait for this stage to be over!! Nothing new or spectacular has happened recently. Brynn is still loving her dance class. Just about every morning she wakes up and either asks if we are going to dance class or to church.
Her dance class is called Creative Movement, and well, her moves are a little creative.....
....and just absolutely ADORABLE to watch!
I am sure most upcoming posts about Brynn will revolve around dance class. She signed up for it until June and then she'll be in a recital. We were able to see a picture of the costumes and they are so cute. I can't wait to see her in it.

Surprise! Not only to you, but to us as well! We are expecting another little boy or girl in September. I am eight weeks along.
I've been struggling with a sinus infection, thought I was over that and now something else has started. I had similar issues with my pregnancy with Brynn. Please pray that everything continues to go well with the baby's development despite me needing to take several medications. My allergies took a turn for the worse since being pregnant with Brynn and it's been a struggle to keep them under control. Pray that there will be no harmful effects on the baby. This has made me nervous about getting pregnant again, but I put my trust in God's plan (especially since it wasn't exactly our plan to get pregnant right now). I've been missing work when it's an important time for be to be there. I don't want to be sick anymore!!
Brynn was doing well, she battled a double ear infection for over two weeks and was on the mend, now we are both miserable again with a virus. She's enjoying her dance class and dances around the house all the time. She's really turned into a singer too, she's always singing her little made up songs and they are too cute. We've been telling Brynn about Mommy having a baby and she votes for a little sister, dad is hoping for a boy, and I wouldn't mind another girl. Of course, we will be blessed either way.

A college friend of Matt and myself, Heidi (Stewart) Hoffman, passed away suddenly yesterday at the age of 33. Since college we've seen Heidi here and there, but most recently came somewhat in touch with her again through the news that she had found out she had uterine cancer. I've been reading about her journey to beat it through the CaringBridge website she had started to keep friends and family informed. Please pray for her husband and all of the family and close friends she had. It's a great shock to everyone.

Well, the moment finally arrived for Brynn's first dance class. I had been literally beside myself all week in anticipation. Even more so knowing that two of her little friends are doing it with her too.
The parents don't get to stay in the room so I am not sure exactly what she did but she was all smiles and said she had fun and that she wanted to go back next week. She didn't quite want to take her outfit off when we got home. We are definitely looking forward to going back again!
