Beautiful Day!

Saturday, March 24, 2007
It turned out to be such a beautiful day today!
We live close to a park and a Wendy's so we walked to Wendy's,
got some food, took it to the park and ate,
and then played on the playground. We had a fun time!

Brynn really enjoyed drinking her milk out of a straw.

The slide is so much fun!

Having more fun on the swings!

Mommy and Brynn going down the slide together.

This was Brynn running away to go the other playground equipment.
On the way she got into another little kids wagon. Matt said that's
not yours Brynn and the mom said it's ok, but for some reason
that made Brynn scared and she ran back to daddy.

We look forward to more great weather and many more
days playing outside!

Pop, Pop, Pop!

Thursday, March 15, 2007
Have you ever wondered what happens when you leave a cooler full of pop cans from the summer sit outside all winter? Yeah, neither did we but we were surprised to see our little science experiment the other day! It's amazing how they exploded and popped open. Should we just throw the cooler away or save it - we are taking polls. Ewww!

Brynn and Daddy enjoying the beautiful day ... and look, we are smiling!

Brynn's artwork is the next Monet. Annie didn't want to be left out of the shot.

Mmmm, M&M's are my favorite treat. I ate a really good dinner so mommy gave me a little handful. I like to eat them in a bowl and use my spoon to scoop them in. "Num-a-nums!"

Oh, my secret is out! I am a thumb-sucker. I suck my thumb until my shirt is soaking wet, drool is all over my chin, and my fingers turn into a prune. "I want my blankie."

Some Catch Up

Thursday, March 8, 2007
Here are some more photos of us (well, mostly of Brynn) to catch everyone up to this point. Hope you enjoy them!

Mia, Aubree, Brynn and Annie at X-mas in a Pop-up Dora House. It was a great time.

Brynn, Dylan, Kathleen, Dale - good friends from small group. This was during the Superbowl. Brynn just loves to color!

Aren't I so stylish in my sunglasses? I call them my glasses. Mommy had to wear sunglasses around the house after she had LASEK and I had to as well!

Brynn and Daddy don't have huge smiles on their faces, but they are still pretty special.

Gotta love those red, rosy cheeks. Irresitible!

Brynn loves to stack her blocks, then say "Achoo" to knock them over. Then she says "Again!" and we do it all over, again.

My hair flips and smile just melt the worst of moods.

Mommy and Brynn...she just wouldn't look at the camera. Oh well, next time maybe.

Even more than coloring, Brynn loves to be outside and never wants to go in. Too bad mommy's allergies can't handle it for too long.

This is Brynn eating "Dettos" as she calls them, one of her favorite snacks. It's so cute to hear her say dettos instead of Gardettos.

Well, check back soon and hopefully I will have posted something new. Have a blessed week!

New Beginning

Wednesday, March 7, 2007
Welcome to the Miller's Moments! I see so many great blogs out there and then I tell myself I need to do one as well. Now I only feel bad that I haven't been documenting Brynn's childhood as good as I could have. Well, today is a new beginning on following the beautiful (and maybe not so beautiful) moments of the Miller family, Matthew, Kara, Brynn, and Annie our family dog.

There is so much I could say to catch everyone up from being pregnant, to Brynn's birth, to all of her milestones! That would take a pretty long time so I will settle for recent highlights and go from there.

As of creating this blog, Brynn is 21 months old. She is SO smart and acts like such a big girl. We are dealing with discipline issues and the Supernanny coined term, the "Naughty Spot", and small steps towards potty-training. She has gone number 1 and 2 multiple times in her little princess potty. She much prefers pretend potty though, where she hands out the toilet paper to me and herself and pretend wipes herself. For her age, she has such a large vocabulary. She enjoys using those words and learning new words. She is constantly asking "What's this?" or "What is That?". I am amazed at what she understands and what she can do...like sing her ABC's, Twinkle, Twinkle, Row Your Boat, Counting, Flash cards...and the list goes on. She also loves to color. She makes sure that mommy and daddy have our own paper and writing utensil. She never wants us left out! Brynn and Annie get along very well, they both enjoy playing tug of war with Annie's toys. Annie naturally has always played more gentle with Brynn than with us...she's a smart little dog!

God truly has blessed us with a bright and beautiful child! As most any parent would say - I never thought I could love someone this much! I imagine the overwhelming feelings of love I have for Brynn must only be an inkling of the love God has for each of us.

Here is the most recent picture I have of Brynn for now.

This is Brynn at church playing with her little piggy.

Aside from Brynn, Matt and I are doing well. We continue to learn how to juggle both working full-time, parenting Brynn cohesively, finding time for each other and for God individually and as a couple, having time for ourselves and with our church family. It's a constant work in progress. I am sure there may be times where we become complacent and just go through the motions, but when we keep our priorities in check life is just grand!

Matt has been working at LandArc since September as a Software Developer and seems to really enjoy it. He completed his Master's degree March 2006 and recently got certified as a Microsoft Certified Professional. He's a smarty, too!.....As for me, I am working on my 7th year at Rochester College. I have worked in the Business Office as the Student Accounts Manager, which basically means I handle the accounts receivable for student's tuition and fees. At times I have loved my job and at other times I hated my job. I guess that pretty much happens wherever you work...but I have a great group of co-workers.

More posts soon, I promise!
